Categories connect your catalog to order forms. Custom tabs organize the Products page.

## Categories

Open **Products** and select **Categories**.

- Enter a **New Category** and select **Create Category**.
- The list shows each **Category**, **Products Using** it, and its **Source**.
- Remove unused categories with **Remove**.

Assign categories in each product and package editor. An order form shows only products in the categories you select for that form.

## Custom Tabs

Open the tabs editor (**Custom Tabs**) to "Create client-specific tabs and map categories to organize what shows in Main Products."

1. Enter a **Tab Name**.
2. Under **Categories In This Tab**, add one or more categories.
3. Save. Products in those categories appear in the custom tab. Items with additional categories can still appear in the default tabs.

Use **Edit** or **Delete** on **Existing Tabs**.

## Example

Create categories "Residential", "Short-Term Rental", and "Commercial". Assign each product. Create three order forms, each showing one category, so customers see only the services that fit their property.
