Sometimes you want to review a request before confirming a time, for example for remote properties or complex shoots. Scheduling review turns the customer's time selection into a request for a date range.
Turn It On
In Availability → Appointment Settings, turn on Allow Scheduling Review Requests. Without it, review rules have no effect.
Product Rules
In the product editor, Self-Scheduling Rule → Booking Rule offers:
- Allow self-scheduling
- Require review when booked by itself
- Always require scheduling review
Product logic rules can refine this further. They are checked before the broad booking rule.
Customer, Team, and Brokerage Rules
| Where | Options |
|---|---|
| Customer Settings → Scheduling Review | Use product rules, Always allow, or Always review. |
| Customer team Scheduling Review | Follow product and customer rules, Always require scheduling review, or Always allow self-scheduling. |
| Brokerage Scheduling Review | Follow product and team rules, Always require scheduling review, or Always allow self-scheduling. |
When a customer, team, or brokerage is set to always review, you can add rules that still let selected products or packages self-schedule. Rules can use conditions such as the product being included in the order, booked by itself, or booked with other services, and distance thresholds of any distance/time, workspace default miles/minutes, or custom miles/minutes.
Which Rule Wins
Individual customer settings take priority over team defaults, and team settings take priority over the brokerage. If none of them override, product rules apply.
What the Customer Sees
Instead of confirming a time, the customer submits a requested date and preferred time. The order arrives as a Booking Request. See Manage Appointments on an Order. The Booking Request Received template can confirm receipt to the customer.
